Trussler, Joan Theresa Hartigan (Turner), 79 of Windsor, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Toronto she was the eldest daughter of James and Elspeth Turner.  She had many fun filled years on Redwood  Drive as big sister to Jim, Mike and Les.  She was a brilliant student, graduating with honors from St Joseph's College School.  She enjoyed an active retirement and constant interactions with her children and grandchildren.  Her home was always full, and food, fun and games were always ongoing.  Her passions were mystery novels, classic movies, game shows and card games.  She loved music and dancing.  Trivia and word puzzles were her specialties.  Joan enjoyed a career working with public accounting firms in Halifax and Windsor and had the pleasure of working with several of the most prominent CA's in Canada.  She is survived by Gordon, by her loving husband of 59 years,  her five children, Michael (Helena), James (Christina), Charlotte, Donald and Patricia (Patrick Howe), and 12 grandchildren, James, Diana, Joana, Kathryn, Paul, Marc, Ryan, Christian, Jessica, David, Jenny and Steven.  She was predeceased by her brother Les.  Visitation at Windsor Chapel, Banwell, 7-9pm Tuesday May 7th with Funeral mass at Church of the Atonement Wednesday at 10 am.  Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society..
