Born and raised in Toronto Gina was a graduate of York University with an Honours B.A. majoring in both Communications Studies and Sociology before completing her Broadcast Journalism diploma at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology with high honours.

Working her way through her degree, Gina became an Assistant Competitor Coordinator working for Insight Production Company Ltd. covering CTV's Canadian Idol during seasons 4 through 6.

Once started, this go-getter with a keen interest in broadcast journalism has taken on a variety of rolls on her journey including stints at CHUM Radio Toronto as News and Reporter intern, Sun TV current affairs, Story Producer and Coordinator at CTV for Canada AM, Assistant Production Secretary with Insight Production Company Ltd. for CBC's Battle of the Blades, Videographer-Reporter at Rogers Communications Inc. for First Local & Community Connection and to her current assignment as News Writer Reporter for CTV Windsor.

Gina is still in the very early years of her career and we'll be watching her and her reports with interest in the months and years to come.

Gina's Honours and Awards:
• Received the "2009 SCA Award" for Best Reporter at Seneca College

• Received "The 2008 Michael Monty Memorial Bursary" at Seneca College
• Nominated for the "Bob Hesketh Memorial Scholarship" at Seneca College 

• Received a "York University Continuing Student Scholarship" for my courses taken within the Fall/Winter 2005-2006 Academic Session

 • Named to the "Faculty of Arts Sessional Academic Achievement List" during my third and fourth year of studies in Fall/Winter 2005-2006 and Fall/Winter 2006-2007 at York University

• Obtained an entry scholarship at York University in 2003
